TRAVELING TO THE CRUISE

What travel documentation do I need?It is the sole responsibility of the traveler to verify and obtain all necessary documentation requirements when traveling to another country. Many countries require passports be valid for at least six months beyond the date of your expected return and may require blank passport pages for entry and exit stamps. Some citizens may be required to obtain a visa to enter certain countries.

U.S. citizens on closed-loop cruises (cruises that begin and end at the same port in the U.S.) will be able to enter or depart the country with proof of citizenship, such as a government-issued birth certificate and laminated government issued picture ID, denoting photo, name and date of birth. A U.S. citizen under the age of 16 will be able to present either an original, notarized, or certified copy of his or her birth certificate, a Consular Report of Birth Abroad issues by DOS, or Certificate of Naturalization issued by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. It is very strongly recommended that guests travel with a passport. More information for U.S. citizens can be found HERE.

If you are NOT a U.S. citizen (are traveling on a non-United States passport), please verify your specific documentation requirements with your country’s consulate before departing.

Passports are not required to complete registration but are the preferred form of identification for travel. Providing passport information at the time of registration may expedite your check-in process on site. A government-issued photo ID is required to enter the port in Nassau to return to the ship.
How do I get a passport? (U.S. citizens)Your local U.S. Post Office will be able to tell you where the nearest passport agency is. You will need a certified birth or naturalization certificate and a government-issued photo ID along with passport photos, which can be taken at almost any photo studio or photo lab. Typical processing time is approximately six weeks. If you choose to pay the expedite fee, typical processing time is only two weeks.

You can download current passport applications online at http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html.
When should I arrive at the airport?Recommended check-in time is two hours prior to departure for domestic flights. Please call the airline or access the airline’s website to check for schedule changes/flight delays and reconfirm recommended check-in time prior to leaving for the airport. Please remember to allow extra time if you are unfamiliar with the airport, are leaving during heavy traffic times, or have excess baggage.

Remember, it’s your responsibility to arrive at the airport with enough time to complete all ticketing, baggage check, and security clearance procedures to arrive at the gate ready to board on time.
What if I have a medical condition or physical disability? If you have any medical conditions or physical disabilities that may require special attention, please contact Destinations at incentivetrip@youniqueproducts.com prior to departure. Passengers requiring prescription medications are advised to keep them in their carry-on luggage or personal item (e.g., purse or backpack).
Should I purchase travel insurance? We recommend purchasing travel insurance. Our recommendation is AIG’s TravelGuard, an affordable plan with a comprehensive package of travel assistance and concierge services available 24 hours a day, anywhere in the world. With TravelGuard, you receive basic coverage in the event of trip-related expenses, including cancellation, interruption, or delay; emergency medical treatment or evacuation; lost, stolen, or damaged baggage or travel documents; or baggage delay. Coverage may be purchased any time up to 24 hours before departure; however, in order to qualify for coverage for cancellations that may be necessary due to pre-existing medical conditions, TravelGuard requires purchase within 15 days of registration. For full details of description of coverage, or to purchase TravelGuard, click HERE.
What items can I carry on the plane?Due to recent security issues on flights heading for the United States, the Transportation Security Administration has updated its aviation security measures. For an up-to-date list of items banned from carry-on luggage and items you can still carry on, please visit http://www.tsa.gov/.
How do customs procedures work boarding the ship? What about going to the Bahamas or CocoCay?When you board the ship, you and your guest will need to show your IDs and passports (again, passports are strongly recommended) in addition to your cruise documents. That should be the only time you need to provide that information. A government-issued photo ID is required to enter the port in Nassau to re-board the ship.
How can I book an excursion?Excursions can be booked directly through Royal Caribbean. We encourage you to book all of your excursions with Royal Caribbean, as they are the only excursions that are guaranteed for an on-time return to the ship.

You can browse some of the available options below (available closer to cruise date):
Nassau Excursion
CocoCay Excursion
What should I pack?T-shirts, shorts, and sandals are suitable for men, while tank tops, T-shirts, shorts, skirts, and sandals are ideal for women. Temperatures can be lower than normal in January, so it is always a good idea to pack a warmer outfit (e.g., jeans and long-sleeved T-shirt) or jacket just in case.
Dress clothingYour daily clothing is sufficient for casual restaurants, but you’ll need dress clothing for the more formal restaurants on the cruise. Slacks and collared shirts are acceptable for men, while slacks, skirts, blouses, and dresses are suitable for women.
General itemsThe list of general items you pack should range from those that are essential to those that will help you enjoy your visit. Pack your toothbrush, toothpaste, hair products, makeup, and other accessories, and if you get seasick or ill easily when traveling, take some medication that will help with an upset stomach and other common travelers’ ailments. To help record the memories of your trip, pack a camera and some spare batteries and/or a portable charger for smartphones and mobile devices. Remember to pack your passport and information about your visit.
Is Wi-Fi available?Wi-Fi is available for purchase through the cruise ship. Choose from one of two package options:
$12.99/day – Surf (Surf the web, send emails)
$17.99/day – Surf & Stream (Surf the web, share on social media, send emails, video call, stream movies & music)
What is the electrical voltage on the ship? The electric current on the ship is conformed to 110 volts, 60 cycles. It is the same type used in the United States and Canada. Some electrical outlets at hotels and resorts are still the two-pronged type. To use a three-pronged electrical cord plug, it is recommended that you take a converter with you.
Will I be taxed on the value of this trip?Yes, Younique Presenters are taxed for the total value of the incentive trip when they qualify and attend. Incentive trips are considered by the government as earned income, and the total value of the event will be taxable. The total value amount is calculated after the trip concludes based on final costs; the trip cost generally averages out to approximately $1,400 USD. If you have questions on the anticipated/approximate value, please contact Younique Customer Care.
Close
Incentive trips are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash. The value of any incentive trip may be considered taxable income, and all taxes are the sole responsibility of the Presenter who qualifies and receives the incentive trip. It is the responsibility of the qualifying Presenter to provide airfare, gratuities, pre/post meals and lodging, ground transportation, and any other fees relating to the incentive trip.
