Meet Wanda Barnes

Two years ago my life took a drastic change. Due to genetic arthritic destruction of the bones and ankle of my right foot, I was going into septic shock and was 90 minutes from death. The doctors had to give me blood transfusions, major antibiotics, I'v's everywhere with painkillers and saline. They thought they might be able to save the foot but the damage was too great. They had to amputate below the knee. From the hospital to rehab for weeks. So many things I had to relearn to do differently. Meanwhile, I lost my job and had nothing coming in until disability kicked in. Our savings were wiped out trying to get the house redone to accommodate this way of life. It took months to get a prosthetic and I had to learn to walk again. The money got pretty tight even with my small disability check. I needed to do something. I reconnected with my friend, Carla, who introduced me to this wonderful organization called Younique. I ordered the Epic mascara and was immediately hooked! It wasn't long before I decided to join this organization. I love Youniques philanthropic endeavors with helping victims of sexual and physical abuse, a cause I wholeheartedly support. The beauty products are a plus as this is how Younique funds the shelters and other needs for these victims.
